Gregg "Viz" Visintainer is a self-taught artist and is the youngest of three boys. He was born on February 29, 1984 in San Jose, CA. He always loved to draw as a kid but never thought he could pursue art as a career until recently. His unique style of drawing began when he was 15 years old, in high school. During class, instead of listening and taking notes, he was doodling. Drawing was his way to pass time in school and express how he felt. After high school, Viz stopped drawing for 6 years.
Viz Art Ink is hand drawn using pen and ink. From afar, there is a main image, but up-close, you will find hidden pictures, words, messages and a lot of meaning that relates to each theme. It takes Viz on average of about 60-80 hours to complete an art piece. His style has gained recognition throughout Southern California and in the action sports industry. In the last four years, he has worked with Element Skateboards, Volcom, DC Shoes, Skinit, Dregs Skateboards, Falken Tire, Grateful Dead, Disney, and others.
